Weaving Into A Hessian Style Material

On these samples which i love i have cut different photographs for mainly the colour and the texture into small strips and then woven them into the fabric. I am not sure what the fabric is? It is almost like dried straw. I think it works really well but would take ages on a garment though having to do it on that scale.

These photos aren't in order of me burning them because I thought it was quite interesting seeing the sample jump from been unburnt and melted comparing that to one with a flame in the middle.

I like the scale of these samples. The camera was set up on the tripod in a well lit area with just natural light so the shots are quite clear.

Weaving & Photography......

My new project is based on photography, weave and changing its original state which is why i have slashed photographs up on woven them. Here are a few pictures of the loom and what my first sample looks like before its finished.

McQueens S/S 2010

This collection really stood out to me i thought it was an amazing collection.

The prints have to be the most interesting parts of the design with a merge of digital and animal print combined to make the most extraordinary of creations.

The silhouettes also i think are quite new and innotive overall making this collection a real success.

Stella McCartney S/S 2010

These detail photographs of Stella McCartney's S/S 2010 show the contrasting trends with hard edged safari and nudes, with the underwear as outer wear with a hint, well a bit more than a hint, of lace making the look appear much softer.

This combination of the both of these is just right for me.

Statement necklace - Lara Bohinc

I recently saw Lara Bohinc's work in Harpers Bazaar, not this necklace another one but thought i would have a look online for more of her things. I couldn't find the one i wanted but discovered this one. This Platinum necklace is really lovely it's a very solid piece but yet still elegant with the twisting metal.....

Julianne Moore - Harpers Bazaar (Feb 2010)

In the Feb issue of Harpers Bazaar were these amazing pictures of Julianna Moore i love all the garments and think the photography is really inspiring.

Amazing sky photographs (One ended up been shown on ITV's Calendar News)

I love the simplicity of this photograph with the main concentration been on the sky and the dark landscape making even more of a contrast.

This photograph is taken on Cowling Pinnacle in North Yorkshire.

This picture is taken of a World War one memorial, i always visit the site but this day it the sky combinations were just amazing so i took a few snaps.

When uploading them on my computer i emailed both of these photographs to Calendar News on ITV as they often show weather shots and this photograph got shown on the 23rd March which i was really pleased about.

Dynamic Aspects Of Water......

For these series of photographs i was looking into reflections.

I took some photographs with disturbing the reflection with a splash in the water and recording the after effects.
